New NYS Teacher Assistant Certification

On Thursday, February 26th, a meeting was held focused on changes to Teaching Assistant (TA) certification requirements in New York State, presented by Elaine Garrett from NYSUT. She explained the transition from Level 1-3 certifications to a new system with initial and professional certifications, while clarifying that Level 3s could maintain their existing status or switch to professional certification.
