New Online Training – Climate Solutions: Permaculture Fundamentals for Educators, by Cornell Garden-Based Learning
June 30, 2026SUNY New Paltz is excited to share the news that we are launching a NEW Bachelor of Arts in Deaf Studies degree this fall, the first four-year undergraduate degree in SUNY to focus on Deaf culture, history and American Sign Language.
This new program builds on 50 years of communication disorders education at SUNY New Paltz, where Deaf Studies has long been our most popular minor.
An education in Deaf culture and ASL empowers young professionals for success in a variety of high-demand careers.
The Deaf Studies degree is a great fit for students who are interested in careers in:
- Education
- Speech-language pathology
- Social work
- Medicine
- Mental health counseling
You can visit the Deaf Studies at SUNY New Paltz website for more information.
If a conversation about this or any of our other programs would be helpful, I’ll be happy to connect. Please give me a call at (845) 257-3624 or email at mantella@newpaltz.edu.
Thank you for your time!
Sincerely,
Andrew M. Mantell
