When: Starts on Monday, November 1st and ends on Monday, November 29th, 2021

Audience: EducatorsParticipants will examine the origins of eating disorders, societal pressures and the role of family in contributing to this growing disease. This course will also show how eating disorders lead to other “impulsive” behaviors that one might see daily in the classroom or around the school environment. The content of this course will be delivered via synchronous Zoom meetings and asynchronous work online in Google Classroom.
Participants will need a personal Google account to access the course materials. Please note: District approval is needed for in-service credit. (15 CTLE Hours)
Seeing the Pain of Kids Who Self-Harm-Online
When: Wednesday, December 1st and ends on Wednesday, December 22nd, 2021
Zoom meetings are scheduled for 7:15 pm on Wednesday, December 1st and Mondays December 6th, 13th, and 20th

Audience: Educators
This course will help educators get a better understanding of children who self=harm. Topics that will be discussed are:
*the age of onset
*events in the lives of children that might trigger including the growing presence of social media
*the emotional state of a self-injurer
*treatments and how as educators/adults we can help a child going through this
This course will be delivered both synchronously via and asynchronously with online assignments in Google Classroom. Participants are required to use a personal Google account to access the course materials. Please note: District approval is required for in-service credit. (15 CTLE Hours)
